No, there are no prerequisites before taking the courses. However, for some courses, we recommend taking the basic course first to gain a deeper understanding of the techniques.

For example, if you’re taking the Gym Facial course, we recommend starting with the Facial course to build a solid foundation in facial massage techniques.

You can find recommended courses listed in the table on each course page.

However, we always recommend checking with your insurance provider before purchasing, as their requirements can vary on a case-by-case basis.

If your provider does have specific requirements, we offer options to help you meet them. 

If you are purchasing a course for someone else, please let us know so we can transfer the course to their own account. This ensures that when they complete the course, the certificate will be issued in their name, not yours.

Important: Do not activate the course from your own account, as we won’t be able to transfer it afterward.

Before purchasing our courses, we strongly recommend checking with your insurance provider about their specific requirements for coverage, as these vary case by case. Some providers may require a formal sign-off or completion of a case study to insure you.

We offer two options to fulfill the case study sign-off if this is required for insurance:

1. Fast Track Virtual Case Study – Demonstrate your practical technique via a recorded submission, which is assessed by an accredited tutor. You will receive a certificate upon successful completion. This options costs an additional £24.99

2. Virtual Case Study Add-On – This includes a 30-minute live call with a tutor, during which you’ll demonstrate the treatment, receive feedback, and get signed off. Please note, this option costs an additional £49.99. Please email customerservice@theonlinebeautycourses.com to organise this.

We advise confirming with your insurance provider which option they accept, as some may not consider video submissions sufficient.

Course kits must be purchased separately on our Course Kits page.

While we don’t currently stock kits for every course, please email us at customerservice@theonlinebeautycourses.com and we’ll be happy to recommend tutor-approved alternatives.

You will be able to download a digital certificate upon completing the course.

Alternatively, you can order a hard copy certificate through our website. Simply choose your desired design, add it to your basket, proceed to checkout, and in the notes section, please include the name of the course the certificate is for.

Our courses typically take around 4–6 hours to complete, depending on your learning speed. They are not timed, so you can go through them at your own pace and revisit the content anytime.

You’ll also have lifetime access, which means you can retake the courses—even if they get updated or upgraded in the future!

Please remember to keep proof of purchase for any of our courses. Due to GDPR regulations, your account and data may be deleted after an extended period of inactivity.

However, if this happens, don’t worry—just email us at customerservice@theonlinebeautycourses.com, and we can recreate your account and restore your courses.

To avoid account deletion altogether, we recommend logging in regularly—not only to keep your account active but also as a great way to refresh your knowledge!
